This exquisite and very unusual statement piece celebrates an antique silver mesh purse from the Victorian era, probably English, but possibly German in origin. The purse measures 1 3/4" long x 2" wide. Length includes the top ball clasp. The purse is in nearly perfect condition, and opens and closes easily and with an audible click.
Mars & Valentine has created a superb collar of tightly woven 1/2" wide sterling silver mesh decorated with symmetrical double-sided fresh water pearls. Beaded sterling silver rings form the back of the necklace. Closure is a front toggle and ring. The outside diameter of the ring of pearls through which the toggle is placed, is 3/4". There are 14 white pearls on one side of the ring and 14 white topaz stones on the other side.
The necklace length is 29 1/4".
