This antique Japanese porcelain button dates to 1880-1910 and depicts a rare domestic scene of mother and child, very collectible. Gold leaf can be seen in the design and at the border. The button in its setting measures 1 3/8" long x 1 3/8" wide. Total finished length with the bale is 2 1/4". The necklace itself is 17" long and is composed of three strands: very fine vermeil chain, gray baroque pearls, and extremely lustrous head-drilled platinum keshi pearls.
