This magnificent micro-mosaic ring was created in Italy in the late 1800's, possibly turn of the century, and is very finely detailed. The micro-mosaic consists of ceramic or porcelain micro tiles that were placed by hand. Note the beautifully decorated sterling silver band.
The ring measures 1 3/4" long x 1 1/2" wide x 3/8" high. The band is 1/2" with no tapering at the back.
