This lovely Bakelite cameo dates to the 1930's. It is set in Mars & Valentine sterling silver with citrines and white topaz stones. The Mars & Valentine logo is found on the back.
The necklace is composed of eight strands: extremely lustrous white keshi pearls, two strands of copper baroque pearls, four strands of sunstone in different sizes, and one strand of round champagne pearls with fine sterling silver chain. The necklace is 18 1/2" long.
The cameo in its setting measures 2 1/4" long x 1 7/8" wide; measurements include the stones. The total finished length, including the bale, is 3 1/2".
Closure is a sterling silver lobster claw clasp; the cones are decorated with sterling silver leaf appliques.
