Antique Wedgwood Cameo Necklace
Price:$1060.00
This beautiful and delicate cameo was carved in England in the late 1800's and has survived in perfect condition. The subject is Flora, dancing with a garland of flowers, preparing to beautify the earth and bring spring back to the world.

The image of Flora is carved of porcelain and applied on authentic Wedgwood Blue. The cameo is guaranteed to be signed on the back. The cameo is set in sterling silver and finished with a brilliant white topaz drop. The sterling silver setting is open behind the white topaz to reflect the light. The bale is decorated with seven white topaz stones. The cameo in its frame measures about 1 3/4" long x 1 3/8" wide. Total length of the cameo, including bale and white topaz drop, is just over 3" long.

The necklace measures 19.5" and is composed of about 90 extremely lustrous freshwater pearl disks and two large freshwater baroque pearls. The whiteness of the stranding speaks to the purity of the coming spring.

Closure is a sterling silver lobster claw clasp. The Wedgwood pendant may be slipped off the necklace and worn on other pearls, if desired. These luscious pearls may also be worn alone or with a different pendant, making this a very versatile piece.

The cameo is fully backed in sterling silver and bears the engraved Mars & Valentine logo.

The price of silver has risen substantially since this cameo was set, making this piece a very good buy indeed.

The [Amy Kahn Russell] necklace is a knock-out. I wore it out to dinner with a friend and watched her eyes open wide and heard her gasp of admiration when she saw it. Will love and admire it for a long, long time! - Christine, New Jersey
