This exquisite micro-mosaic pendant was created in Italy in the late 1800's and is very finely detailed. The micro mosaic consists of ceramic or porcelain micro tiles that were placed by hand. The detail of this piece is incredible. The pendant is set with 16 white pearls and white topaz stones; additional stones are found on the bale. Total finished size of the pendant is 3" long x 2 1/8" wide. Length includes the bale; width includes the stones.
The necklace itself measures 17 1/2" and consists of 7 strands of
very lustrous white keshi pearls, platinum baroque pearls, white seed pearls, and alternating turquoise and white pearls on very fine sterling silver chain. The ends are capped with substantial sterling silver cones embellished with Mars & Valentine's trademark leaf motif. Closure is a sterling silver lobster claw clasp. The Mars & Valentine logo is engraved on the back of the pendant.
